出生在日本石川縣金澤市。師從小絲源太郎；1949年在日展獲得一等獎；1950年畢業於金澤藝術學院西洋畫系；1959年獲得光風會展覽獎；1961年在日展獲得特別獎；1968年在日展菊華獎；1974年在日展擔任評委；1990年在尼滕擔任評委；1998年在日展擔任理事；1999年在日展獲得首相獎；2006年在文化廳現代美術選抜展出品；2006年恩賜賞・日本芸術院賞受賞/被任命為日本藝術學院成員 擔任Nitten公司的常務董事。

Born in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan. Studied with Gentaro Oishi; first prize at the Japan Exhibition in 1949; graduated from the Western Painting Department of Kanazawa Art College in 1950; Koufu-kai Exhibition Prize in 1959; Special Prize at the Japan Exhibition in 1961; Kikuwa Prize at the Japan Exhibition in 1968; jury member at the Japan Exhibition in 1974; jury member at the Nitten Exhibition in 1990; board member at the Japan Exhibition in 1998; Prime Ministers Prize at the Japan Exhibition in 1999. Prime Ministers Award in 1999; exhibited at the Cultural Affairs Agencys Modern Art Selection in 2006; recipient of the 2006 Enshi Award and the Japan Art Institute Award appointed to the Japan Art Academy Managing Director of Nitten. |
